On her verse on Lil Wayne's "Mercy" Nicki Minaj supposedly endorsement, rapping, "I'm a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy bitches is fuckin' up the economy." Now, President Barack Obama has responded to the line supporting his opponent, stating that his daughters Malia and Sasha don't listen to the Harajuku Barbie very often before sharing his views on the rap.

"You know, I don't think they really listen to Nicki Minaj that much. But let's face it, they are now hipper than me," he said. "There's a certain point where your kids get old enough where they're just hipper than you are, and Michelle and I, for folks of 50 or as she likes to point out close to 50, because she's not 50 yet, we try to keep up so we've got a nice Hip Hop collection on our iPods."

Asked directly about the line, the POTUS said that he wasn't sure "what's going on there" and chalks it up to her "playing different characters. "Yeah, I'm not sure that's actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."

Nicki Minaj Supports Mitt Romney? What kinda black american female are you?

Nicki Minaj has raised the ire of seemingly radical Democrats on Twitter with a rap line that implies she will be supporting Mitt Romney in the upcoming presidential election.

“I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy b***hes is f-ing up the economy,” Minaj raps on Lil Wayne’s new mixtape Dedication 4.

The move, whether or not she means it, has caused a seemingly endless flow of insults to the rapper.

Minaj has not commented on the matter, via Twitter or otherwise.

It’s been just over two weeks since the infamous bottle-throwing melee sparked between Drake and Chris Brown at New York City’s W.i.P. nightclub on June 13. Still, people are still talking about the wild incident, which left several people injured and the club shut down indefinitely with its liquor license suspended earlier this week.

In a recent interview with the UK’s Tim Westwood, Nicki Minaj expressed discontent over talents like Drizzy and Breezy getting into a situation like that in the first place and reveals what she told her Young Money labelmate in the aftermath of the unfortunate incident.

“I don’t approve of talented people doing things that aren’t conducive to an amazing career,” Nicki began telling Westwood in her British accent.

“I spoke to Drake and I told him from the bottom of my heart how I felt,” Minaj added in her normal speaking voice. “I’m like, ‘Baby, you are a superstar and I need you to realize that.’ He did nothing wrong, of course. Rumors are rumors and that’s what it is. I told him, ‘It’s time to remember who you are.’ Sometimes you just might need to go to bed, have an early nap, go to the hotel. There’s nothing wrong with that. I do it all the damn time.”

Prior to weighing in on the W.i.P. debacle, Nicki told Westwood about kissing Nas in her “Right By My Side” video, which portrays the Queens-bred rappers as a couple.

“You know, what Tim? It worked,” Nicki told the UK personality about the smooch with Nas. “It was hip-hop…Queens, royalty. Outside of the kiss, it just had so much chemistry. It seemed like a real relationship, a real hood relationship and I wanted to portray that. I wanted the song to feel like your around the way relationship.”--Jakinder Singh
