Birth name Devante Anthony Springer, this Bronx born, and Queens groomed recording artist has been performing for the last 5 years under the stage name Vizzi. Working on expanding his toolkit to heighten the entertainment experience for all fans, Vizzi has been venturing into adding choreography to his sets. Upon hitting the scene, he enlisted the talented group of peers he had access to and formed a super group called Young Legends. By 2016, his passion had grown and the realization of his potential motivated Vizzi to go even harder at his pursuits. Narrowing the brand, he and fellow Young Legend K Bliss began to blaze trails with a new focus and brand, BLSVZ (abbreviation of Bliss-Viz.)
With the slated follow up “BlissAndVizTheMixtape2", to their debut release expectations have risen. Along with his solo effort, "Vizzi's World", released in 2013 and his follow up, izzi's World II", coming 2019, the sky is the limit for him. Being available, Vizzi has capitalized by making appearances and killing stages around the Big Apple. His collaborations outside of his immediate circle include longtime engineer Elus, also known as Kind Genius, Kony Brooks, Teddy Grahams and Ray Fame to name a few.
1) What inspired you to be a part of the music industry?
Music has always been my passion but originally never had the heart to make music. However, once I got tired of hearing the same songs on my local radio, I decided to pick up a pen and the rest was history.
2) What are your thoughts on the hip-hop industry at the moment?
My thoughts on the industry are there should be more artists speaking a real message instead of listening to these mumble artists who promote drugs and violence and I'm the opposite of those things. I like messages with peace and positivity.
3) Do you enjoy grinding it out independently or would you prefer to be signed to a major label?
I've enjoyed grinding independently and seeing how certain major labels treat their artists such as Lil Wayne and a few others, I would rather open my own label and be my own boss.
4) What do you think goes into building a loyal fanbase?
What I think goes into building is perfomances, music videos and especially promotion via social media since everyone is on it.
5) What sort of online promo and marketing are you doing to reach your fanbase?
I use Instagram, YouTube, Sounddcloud, Twitter and snapchat to push out as much as I can. My next step is Spotify, Apple music and Tidal.
6) If you could collaborate with any well-known artist who would it be?
I would love to work with Tyga because he's so underrated and I love how he's had a great comeback year with his recent hits.
7) What are your plans for your next project?
My plans are to get full exclusive rights for all of the beats so I can release it on all streaming services, do as many performances and shoot as many videos as possible.
